Language school

In our Cultural Center in the heart of Barcelona we offer a wide range of free language classes for members of our organisation. Our membership for those who want to follow the classes is only 10 euros per month! Please find all information below, including the link to become a member.

What can you expect?

  • Voluntary, enthusiastic teachers, some experienced and some in the beginning phase of their teaching career
  • Learning materials, but please bring your own writing materials or laptop to keep notes etc.
  • A great atmosphere in our Cultural Center, where you will meet people from all over the world
  • To make an impact: your contribution as a member is directly used for our projects in Spain and Greece.

Start of new classes: July 2021.

A great way to learn new languages while also getting to know new people from different countries and cultures!

Integration and community building through our classes

While for instance the Spanish classes are given by locals, many of the other classes are given by refugees or migrants who have arrived in Barcelona. Through teaching, they can gain professional teaching experience in a foreign language, feel empowered and become independent.

Free participation for migrants in difficult situations

If you are a migrant in Barcelona and you don’t have any financial means to pay for our membership (and thus the classes), there is a possibility to join our classes for free. If you think you fall under this category, please send us an email to languages@openculturalcenter.org to see what we can do for you!
