About True Stories

True Stories is a European storytelling project that empowers migrants and refugees to share their own experiences through podcasting and audio media. Rather than speaking about migration from the outside, the project places lived experience at the centre, giving participants the tools to tell their own stories.

Participants receive training in media production, storytelling techniques, and ethical communication, and co-create a podcast series that challenges dominant narratives around migration. The project also develops methodologies that can be reused by organisations working in participatory media.

Open Cultural Center Spain and Open Cultural Center Greece participate as partners, supporting content creation, community engagement, and dissemination.
