World Mental Health Day: What challenges do migrant and refugee people face?

Every year, millions of people around the world leave their homes for various different reasons and migrate to another country: taking such a decision can have a strong psychological impact. Those who travel along dangerous migratory routes tend to be the most affected, as they are vulnerable to violence and exploitation. On World Mental Health Day, we want to shine a light on the importance of catering for and supporting migrants and refugees with not only their safety but also their mental health.

New wave of asylum seekers arriving in Greece: Does the government really care about migrant people?

Last year, a total of 3,231 people lost their lives or went missing in the sea while traveling from the north of Africa to Europe, according to UNHCR. Does the Greek government really care about this data? The country hasn’t changed any measures to host asylum seekers properly. Yet it receives millions of European funds every year destined to host refugees.
