About Community Cafeteria
The Community Cafeteria is a welcoming and inclusive social space where refugees, volunteers, and local residents can meet, rest, and connect in an informal setting. It provides a safe environment to unwind, share conversations, and build relationships, offering free refreshments, games, and access to basic resources and information.
More than a place to socialise, the cafeteria acts as an important entry point to Open Cultural Center’s wider activities. Visitors can learn about ongoing projects, register for classes, and receive informal guidance or referrals to other forms of support offered by OCC and partner organisations.
By encouraging everyday interaction across cultures and backgrounds, the Community Cafeteria helps reduce social isolation, strengthen trust, and foster a sense of belonging—supporting community life as a foundation for inclusion and mutual support.
