About Digital Lingua

The project aims to improve the teaching skills and digital competences of language educators who teach migrant students online, and support migrant students in learning a second language through innovative digital methods. It focuses on improving accessible language learning for migrant students, addressing challenges like low digital literacy and inadequate teaching infrastructure, and promoting culturally appropriate practices. Ultimately, it seeks to foster migrant inclusion through better language proficiency and digital skills.

Results:
The Digital Llingua project delivered key results to empower migrant educators through digital and pedagogical training. These were:
- Toolkit: was developed for over 500 migrant educators to enhance their digital teaching skills. The toolkit includes best practices for teaching in digital environments, focusing on platforms, innovative methods, hybrid and online teaching, and intercultural competence
- Report: which addresses challenges in distance language teaching (DL2T) and provides research and recommendations for improving migrant integration through effective teaching practices. Access the toolkit and report here.
- Training for Migrant Educators: The project trained 205 migrant educators across Greece, Cyprus, France, Italy, and other EU member states. The training focused on improving digital skills and pedagogical competencies for distance language teaching (DL2T), using strategies from the toolkit. The curriculum included best practices, platform navigation, and intercultural competence, fostering a professional network and refining the toolkit based on feedback.
